what will i learn?
Learn how to produce music using the latest Logic and Reason software, compose your own tracks and discover the inner workings of the music industry. Plus get the chance to perform at a showcase event!
You will also learn many new skills that can be taken into the world of work such as how to use computers, work in groups, project planning, how to write professional emails and much more.
Dv8 aim to help you to develop the confidence to progress into college or work following your time with us by helping you achieve great things that most young people don't get the chance to do!
WHAT ELSE IS IN THis COURSE?
You will have the opportunity to study Functional Skills, with basic Maths, English and ICT embedded into the course in a fun and relevant way. These can help you to progress onto college.
All courses also include elements of personal and social development to help you move on following your time with us.
HOW WILL I SPEND MY TIME?
You will be using state of the art new suites of Mac computers, music studios and industry standard software. You will be taught by industry professionals, work in teams to deliver exciting projects and learn all about the recording and composition process.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE COURSE?
You will be supported by Dv8 to gain a college place or find employment or apprenticeships. For those on programme that show commitment and a positive attitude throughout we will aim to find you a work placement in the creative industries following your time with us.

CURRENT BRIGHTON COURSE
Starting February 2012.
Mon 2 – 5pm. Weds 10am - 5pm. Thurs 10am – 5pm.
Course length is 17 weeks.
Based at 205a Preston Road, Brighton, BN1 6SA.
CURRENT BEXHILL COURSE
Starting March 2012.
Wed 2pm - 5pm. Thurs 10am - 5pm. Fri 10am - 5pm.
Course length is 17 weeks.
Based at Victoria Hall, London Road, Bexhill, TN39 3PD.
WHO CAN TAKE THESE COURSES?
To qualify for Foundation Learning you must be:
Between 16-19
Not in work or education
Needing help to find employment or training
