Ks4 Photography, Animation and video

This new KS4 course is 11 weeks long and broken into 3 chunks of video, animation and photography.  The running order and structure of this course can be flexible depending on the needs and interests of the group but the focus would be to explore using image in video and still form to complete the level 1 award in the arts.  Projects could include a music video, short video documentary, visual CV, personal photo projects as chosen by young people, stop start and model animation projects using animation software and video equipment.  The course will allow young people to experiment and build confidence in all three areas and they will be able to take away all projects on DVD to share.

FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN YEARS 10 & 11

This is for young people in years 10 and 11 who have been identified as requiring the opportunity to gain new skills and confidence outside of school for one or two days per week. Dv8 is currently running courses in Music & Video, Mixed Arts, Visual Arts, and Video Production in our Dv8 Brighton site.

WHO CAN TAKE THESE COURSES?

DO I NEED PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE?
No but a creative interest in photography, animation and video is essential. You must also be keen to try new things and be able to/willing to work in a group of of to 8 young people.

IS THERE A QUALIFICATION AVAILABLE?
Yes an Arts Award - Bronze.
